Part 2: My Unhealthy Relationship with Food and How “I know breakthrough is coming”…

This is one of my favorite song lyrics of all time. It’s from the song “Won’t Stop Now”, by my favorite Worship Band, Elevation Worship. The whole chorus goes: I know breakthrough is comingBy faith I see a miracleMy God made me a promiseAnd it won’t stop now… In 2018, I got my breakthrough, and it was absolutely glorious and divine. For years, I struggled … Continue reading Part 2: My Unhealthy Relationship with Food and How “I know breakthrough is coming”…

Part 1: My Unhealthy Relationship with Food and All the Ugly Truths I’ve Never Shared

In so many ways, it is liberating to write this post. I’ve been wanting to write it for about a year, but every time I would start, things would get bad again, and I would start to feel like a fraud. But, I told a close friend this morning that it’s time. I’m finally here. I’m finally at a place where I can authentically and transparently tell this part of my story. It’s freeing, and also a little scary. It’s scary to expose a previous truth that I lived for so many years, but it’s something I feel ready to do. I have this need to be honest with you. I also have this need to be real and transparent and bare it all here in my little corner of the internet. It’s both liberating and terrifying, but mainly, it’s freeing. …But the greatest of these is LOVE

In the spirit of all things lovely, I spent the morning in devotion about what God has to say about love. It has nothing to do with flowers and chocolates or giant teddy bears and expensive gifts. Those things are acts and gestures to show ones live, but love is not those things. 1 Corinthians 13 beautifully describes love and all of its powerful and wonderful attributes. Enjoy this fun holiday and indulge in a cupcake or 2 or 3 😉 but also make time to really carry out the values of love. This goes beyond Valentine’s Day, and today can be like hitting the reset on how you show love. Continue reading …But the greatest of these is LOVE
