Welcoming 2017

Good morning, beautiful creations of God!

You are here today for a reason, and whether you know your purpose or not, my prayer for 2017 applies to you. As women, we play so many important roles in our households, our churches, schools, communities, and society as a whole. My prayer for you this year is that you be filled up so that you can continue to pour out.

Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank You for bringing us another day and another year. Thank You for creating us to live right now in this time. Thank You for bringing all of these wonderfully made beauties together to join in the mission to better themselves through your grace and guidance.

God, I reach out to you and lift up all the women in our lives. I pray that You would build them up with grace, strength, dignity, honor, and value. I pray that You show them their worth and remind them of Your Majesty. Please guide them through this year, Lord, and have them to seek You out daily for their energy and strength. I pray that You would pour into us each and everyday so that we are able to continue Your work in our lives and in the lives of those around us.

Even when we are too weak, I know that You will be strong enough to carry us through. Even when we are tired, I know that You will provide the little “extra” we are missing. Even when we are broken and lost, You will always come through and remind us that we are Yours. Thank You for all of Your goodness, and Thank You for giving us another year to seek Your face. Amen.

“…though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.”
– Psalm 37:24

“I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
– Psalm 16:8

This is your year, and it will only be what you make. Dust off the pressure of being “perfect” this year, and just focus on being real and being you. Be the best you, but always be YOU. Take this year as your own. Grow, develop, learn, and be prosperous.
